If you don't mind me asking, I know you become the dark lord at the dark ending but when you link the fire, do you become some kind of lord of light too, cause I think its the hero becoming one with the flame or something and when the hero begins to grow old and die so will the kiln of the First Flame?
It is heavily implied that the Fire incinerates you and that your Soul/energy feeds it, thus prolonging the age of Fire. So I think you're pretty much dead in that scenario. If Gwyn couldn't handle it, neither can you.
You know the one thing about Dark souls that I love is that if you don't know the story at all then after you beat him you feel like a deity. Happened to me I finally beaten him and wondered what the hell the game was about. Then I figured out the lore and on my second play through it gave a new experience for me. For me Gwyn is by far one of the most bad ass final bosses out there. A tragic hero made to look like a villain. Someone who gave up on the world. But I ramble. Truly nice art work.
The game is by far too ingenios for it's own good. It makes you hate it and love it not because of the story but the gameplay. And when the gamer finally decides to figure out what the hell the game is about...BAM. Insta Feels. Or Dark feels.
And so, a world mired in rustic tales, did fall a mighty lord who heralded the flame. But soon, darkness crept and loomed upon the land, consuming all of his children and more. In an adverse time, when hope was all but lost, the Lord gave himself to the flame. And all but perished, leaving what hollowed shell could remain.
In vain was his cause, and the flames waned once more, and his children withdrew into legend. And his kingdom was dark, with only afflicted undead and untimely mortals walking the halls. But one day, warriors should rise. Ones with the mettle of heros, to surpass the tests of strength and hope. And meet the hollowed god in battle, fighting for whatever cause drives them. But not all warrior pass the threshold of victory.
One who holds the sun at heart, would die at the hands of it's creator...
At the end of the battle, the 2 heroes grieve for the loss of a good friend....Till he gets up, brushes himself off and cries out: "Praise the SUN!" The heroes join him and give a sun-bro/sis group hug. The End. XD
As always your drawings are fantastic. Which is why instead of sounding like a broken record (constantly praising your work lol) I thought I'd give a slight critique. I don't exactly agree with how you drew Gwyn's face- from the opening cinematic I thought he looked like a young Alan Moore. Anyway keep up the great work and I hope to see more from you soon! /vg/ misses you lol
